Refund, Cancellation & Replacement Policy

At AnjaniBooks, we strive to provide affordable books and a smooth shopping experience. Please read our policy carefully before placing an order.

Order Cancellation

Orders can only be cancelled before they are shipped.

To request a cancellation, please contact our Customer Support team with your Order ID.

If the order has not been shipped, the cancellation will be processed and the refund will be initiated. Refunds are generally processed within 1–7 business days, depending on the payment method and banking partner.

Once an order has been shipped, it cannot be cancelled.

Replacement Policy

Replacement requests must be raised within 48 hours of successful delivery.

Customers must provide:

  • Order ID
  • Clear photos/videos of the product
  • Clear photos/videos of the package received

Requests submitted after 48 hours may not be eligible for replacement.

Replacement is applicable only in the following cases:

  • Wrong product delivered
  • Wrong title, author, publication, class, or edition delivered
  • Missing pages
  • Major printing defects
  • No print or unreadable pages
  • Severely damaged product affecting usability

Used Books Policy

Many books sold on AnjaniBooks are pre-owned (used) books.

Used books may show normal signs of usage, including:

  • Notes
  • Highlights
  • Stamps
  • Minor wear and tear
  • Library markings
  • Cover wear

All used books are checked to ensure they are readable and suitable for study purposes.

Normal signs of usage in used books do not qualify for replacement or refund.

School & Academic Books

For school, college, competitive exams, and academic books:

  • Replacements may be provided only for eligible cases mentioned above.
  • Refunds are generally not applicable once the correct product has been delivered.

Please note that cover images, print years, and publication editions may vary due to publisher updates.

Notebook Policy

Returns or replacements for notebooks are generally not accepted.

Replacement may be provided only if:

  • The wrong product is delivered
  • The product is severely damaged
  • A major manufacturing defect exists

Customers are advised to record an unboxing video while opening the parcel to help facilitate any claim.

Refund Policy

Refunds will only be processed when:

  • A cancellation request is approved before shipment, or
  • A replacement/refund request is approved after verification.

If approved, refunds are generally processed within 4–7 business days. The time taken for the amount to reflect depends on your bank or payment provider.

Important Disclaimer

Minor cosmetic damage, minor corner bends, slight cover wear, or normal signs of usage in used books are not considered defects and do not qualify for replacement or refund.

Delivery timelines are estimates and may vary depending on location, stock availability, and courier serviceability.

AnjaniBooks reserves the right to approve or reject any replacement or refund request after verification.
